How to Install Kolab on CentOS

Kolab is an email / calendar / contact solution. The webmail component is Roundcube.

This will install Kolab on a separate server than the rest, as the remainder of the guide assumes all is installed on ClearOS.

Multi-domain: we will focus on the simple case of one domain, with one or many domain aliases, even though Kolab can do more advanced setups.

  • The main domain should work, so it can make sense to start with a less used domain, and test and, later, add the main domain as an alias.
  • When adding a user, do not have spaces for given name or surname (to do : Fix this or add JS validation to prevent this) or there will be issues with LDAP.
  • kolab sync to force synchronisation between IMAP and LDAP
